As my new MP, will you commit to help end global hunger?
Congratulations on your recent election to parliament. I wish you all the best for the next 5-year term as my MP.
Tragically, at a time when we have been largely focused on domestic politics, the threat of famine has surged in Gaza and Sudan. Across these two countries, some 10 million people now face emergency levels of food insecurity, while nearly 1.3 million are estimated to be at risk of catastrophic hunger.
The UK must take immediate action to address these crises. But it also must tackle the long-term, root causes that have led to 783 million people around the world going hungry every day.
Hunger traps generations in cycles of poverty, disproportionately impacts women and girls, leads to worse education outcomes, and can fuel conflict.
This is why I am asking you, as my newly elected MP, to use your position to help turn the tide on these trends. Will you pledge today?
Action Against Hunger pledge:
I pledge to use my role in Parliament to do what I can to help turn the tide on rising global hunger, and tackle it's causes.
If you support this pledge, please email Jack Feinmann, Parliamentary Relations Manager at [email protected] confirming your endorsement.
Please respond to this email to confirm if you have decided to support my request as one of your first actions as MP.
Thank you. Together, we can end global hunger.
Sincerely,
