Tell Keir: Protect the lives of civilians in Gaza
Over 50,000 people have now been killed in Gaza since October 2023. These aren’t just numbers — they’re 50,000 lives, each with a human story that mattered.
The recent escalation of airstrikes in Gaza has proved catastrophic, with hundreds of lives being lost. Millions of Palestinians are at serious risk as homes, hospitals, schools and markets are reduced to rubble.
We must act now. We’re calling on Prime Minister Keir Starmer and the UK Government to do everything in their power to prevent further loss of life and uphold a ceasefire. This means:
- An immediate and permanent resumption of the ceasefire agreement
- Unimpeded humanitarian access for essential food, healthcare, water, fuel, sanitation, and shelter supplies
- Protection of civilians and humanitarian workers
- An immediate end to military incursions in the West Bank
For over a year and a half, civilians in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territory have endured one of the worst humanitarian crisis in decades. Families cannot endure more bombardment, starvation, and displacement.
