Tell Keir Starmer: hunger should never be used as a weapon of war
Millions are being starved in warzones, but Prime Minister Keir Starmer can help stop it.
Across Gaza, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, families are being deliberately cut off from food, water, and medicine.
In Sudan, markets have been bombed, livestock destroyed, and hospitals forced to close. Famine has already taken hold in two areas, with millions more people at risk.
In the DRC, over 27 million people are going hungry as conflict and displacement cut families off from aid and food supplies.
In Gaza and the West Bank, every single person is facing severe food shortages, and over half a million are already living in famine conditions. Children are suffering irreversible harm from hunger and malnutrition.
When food is destroyed, aid is blocked, and people are starved, it’s not just a tragedy — it’s a war crime.
We’re calling on Prime Minister Keir Starmer to show real leadership. The UK must:
- Call out every violation of international law, including where starvation is used as a weapon.
- Hold perpetrators accountable, wherever these crimes occur.
- Invest in long-term humanitarian funding that breaks the cycle of conflict and hunger.
The UK once led the global fight against hunger. Keir Starmer can make sure it leads again, but only if we demand it. Will you add your name now to help show thousands of people want action?
