Subject: Three years of war in Sudan. Act now
Dear [MP Name],
As an Action Against Hunger supporter, I am writing as your constituent to ask you to act now and urge the UK government to take stronger action on Sudan.
After three years of war, the crisis in Sudan is devastating. Millions of people are facing extreme hunger, and families facing famine are surviving on one meal a day or less. People are being pushed to desperate measures just to survive. As one woman from Sudan said to Action Against Hunger, “We no longer ask what we will eat. We ask who will eat.” No one should have to live like this.
The UK Government has said Sudan matters. But Sudan cannot survive on empty promises. The Government must now match words with action.
Please urge the government to:
- Step up diplomatic pressure to help protect civilians
- Treat conflict-driven hunger as an urgent protection issue
- Support a stronger, sustained humanitarian response
- Back funding that reaches local and women-led responders
I hope you will raise this issue with ministers and support stronger UK action.
I would welcome a response to let me know what steps you will take as my MP.
Yours sincerely,
[Your name]
